Westlife!

Last night, TVB Pearl showed the Westlife tour in 2006, Face to Face Tour. That’s really surprising and exciting. It’s so great to see their handsome faces on a bigger screen. It was wonderful, of course. I watched it on the biggest TV we have at home. Totally wonderful! Though, as it is expected with TVB, a lot was cut from the show. A lot of less popular songs were cut, and the medley only had Don’t Cha left (that song was really hot when they sang it!), and all of their talks were cut as well. So today I listened to the tour on my iPod. Nothing cut except the video. :P

What’s more surprising is that I saw Westlife again today. I saw them in New Town Plaza in Sha Tin (after visiting relatives). There’s a huge screen in the plaza. It was showing their MV of Amazing. I could read the lips of Shane – he was singing the second verse when I looked up and saw his handsome face. I went a bit crazy after I saw them. There’s an aunt there who doesn’t know I love Westlife and didn’t know why I was looking at the screen and with mouth opened and laughing and singing. I told my sister and mother to see them too. lol That’s really amazing. I think this is the Year of Westlife!

Happy New Year!

Yeah!! It’s a new year. I’m sure it’ll be a troubled year, but let it be an exciting year!

As for my Song of the Year, it’s Westlife! Woo-hoo! I didn’t plan it, otherwise it doesn’t mean anything. I put all my music in Party Shuffle, and iTunes picked Westlife’s first No. 1 single, Swear It Again, for me.

There’s a New Year message from the guys on the official website. They’re so cute, just watch Shnicky!

Anyway, happy new year everyone!

I hate Hilary Duff!

It’s really a mystery. Everyone knows I like pop quite a lot (who doesn’t?), but now I can’t bear listening to Hilary Duff. I used to be OK about her music, and I even liked her a bit, but now, suddenly, I totally dislike her.

First, I really can’t bear with her voice. Don’t know how to describe it … don’t know. Her voice has something in it that I hate. Second, her songs, just like other pop songs, are always the same. All songs are similar. So why do I have to listen to her songs? One is enough already! (Or none is even better!)

An example to see how much I dislike her. One day, I was listening to the iPod. It’s shuffling songs, then Hilary came up. I had to skip the song! And that’s saying something because I seldom skip songs on the iPod, as that drains the battery.

I guess it’s the first step to sanity. So many kinds of music out there, much better than Hilary Duff.

UT Results I

I was heart-broken. First it was Chemistry. I didn’t expect it to be so low. There were many careless mistakes. MC was very, very bad. It breaks my heart.

I didn’t fail Physics, all right. It’s even higher than Chem. (Of course that’s still very low.) I still feel bad about it. There were mistakes I made because I didn’t bring the calculator. I regret not asking the teacher to take the calculator from my bag at that time. Now everyone would say it was foolish of me. But at that time I was doing those Math all right. They weren’t very difficult, I was just wasting some time.

The real heartbreaker was English. Guess it’s because I had some hope for it. But those speaking tasks were awful. I missed so many points. Reading is not good either. I feel so bad, and when that Mr Fong asked me "Am I too fast?" (The class was checking answers.) I didn’t want to answer him. So stupid. Couldn’t he wait for me to recover from the pain?

Math is my comfort. Though my result is not very bright, it’s decent and good. ADM is not bad either (in my standard). Fanny said it was bad. How very frank of her. But I don’t let that break my heart.

I have been saying I’m heartbroken. That’s true, sort of. I even cried a little bit when I was at home. I guess I’ve changed. Think of that Chem test, and these UT, I feel very bad inside. I wouldn’t feel these kind of thing before. Growing up, eh?

Westlife says "try again". That’s the song I thought of when I had my Phy paper. Following me all day. The lyrics:

Hush now don’t you cry
There will be a better day
I promise you
We can work it out
But only if you let me know
What’s on your mind

Baby, you thought it was forever
Through any kind of weather
But some day you will find what your searching for

Try again
Never stop believing
Try Again
Don’t give up on your love
Stumble and fall
It’s the heart of it all
When you fall down (down)
Just try again

So, lie down, let it go
Hey, you will never be alone
I promise you
If you can’t fight the feeling (Oh yeah)
Surrender in you heart
Remember love will set you free

Baby, you thought it was forever
You would always be together
But some day you will find what your searching for

Try again
Never stop believing
Try Again
Don’t give up on your love
Stumble and fall
It’s the heart of it all
When you fall down (down)
Just try again

Baby when a heart is crying
It sometimes feels like dying
The tear drops fall like rain

Baby, you thought it was forever
You would always be together
But some day you will find what you’re searching for

Try again
Never stop believing
Try Again
Don’t give up on your love

Try again
Never stop believing
Try Again
Don’t give up on your love
Stumble and fall
It’s the heart of it all
When you fall down
Just try again

I’ll try again I hope. I’m never hard-working for exams. I hope "stumble and fall" is not the heart of exams.

Vote for Westlife!

Here. Choose whatever country. I guess it’s just the same. You’ll need to register, but do it please if you’re a fan of Westlife. Even if you aren’t, you can vote too, for the fans (me) and for the guys.

There’s not much chance for them to win, at least for now. But we have time. The vote closes on April 28. And please vote for Coldplay and Kelly Clarkson, and Green Day’s Wake Me Up When September Ends, and maybe My Chemical Romance. I saw them once and they sounded quite cool. And well, you can vote for Hong Kong artists. I can’t decide which one to vote, so I’m not voting for any of them.

Most important of all – vote for Westlife!

Music Chart

If you haven’t noticed already, I’ve added a music chart from Last.fm down the right colume. It’s the artists that I have listened to in the week.

Number one of last week was … Tori Amos. It’s just because I borrowed her CD from the library a few days ago, and I had her greatest hits album before (just what I think; no one actually tell me it’s GH). So I played both albums. And so she has become the top of all artists.

She’s not bad, but I haven’t had time to read her lyrics, so I don’t know what her songs are about. She writes all her songs, by the way. I like singer-songwriters – feels abler than just pop artists. Fortunately Westlife writes songs too, though not much.
